7 Yummy Dessert Recipes for Dessert Lovers

You’re missing out big time if you aren’t using your Instant Pot (or other electric pressure cooker) to make dessert. With the IP, everything from cheesecakes to monkey bread can be made without turning on the stove or heating up the oven!

1. Easy Instant Pot Monkey Bread from Foodie Crush
Yes, you can totally bake bread in your Instant Pot — and this cinnamon-sugar-laced pull-apart bread works just as well for dessert as it does for brunch. Plus, you can still make this if your oven is hard at work cooking eggs and bacon.

2. Instant Pot Pumpkin Cheesecake from Damn Delicious
Classic cheesecake in the Instant Pot is such a sensation that we’re bringing our own version to Kitchn next month. Until then, this pumpkin version from Damn Delicious is as easy to make — there is little hands-on cooking — as it is sweetly spiced and fragrant.

3. Slow Cooker Elvis Pudding Cake from Spicy Southern Kitchen
Elvis pudding cake is a banana-flavored pudding cake (pudding on the bottom, cake on top) topped with chocolate and peanut butter. Remember that any slow cooker recipe can be adapted for slow cooking in the Instant Pot too — just use a loosely sealing lid to allow steam to vent.

4. Slow Cooker Caramel Flan from The Magical Slow Cooker
Flan likes to cook low and slow, so it is an ideal use of the slow cooker function of your Instant Pot. You can even make the caramel sauce or a shortcut dulce de leche in the Instant Pot.

5. Instant Pot Cake from Well Plated
Guess what? Almost any cake recipe (even boxed cake mix) can be adapted to cooking in the Instant Pot. It takes about half the time and makes a perfect serving for a families of four to six.

6. Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake
This chocolate pudding cake is easily adapted to cooking in the Instant Pot — you’ll just need to switch over to the slow cooker function. And because it has a lightly different depth in the Instant Pot’s stainless insert, you’ll get even more luscious chocolate sauce.

7. Slow Cooker Apple Crisp

Use the Instant Pot’s sauté function to get the apples started and you can make this slow cooker crisp even faster. Make sure you use an alternative lid for this dessert (not the tight-fitting IP lid) to make sure the crisp topping actually gets crisp.
